Learning Opportunities
Queen’s uses the qPath system which allows learners to archive independently performed scans. Learners can generate reports and send them to POCUS faculty for individualized feedback and quality assurance. In addition, a growing number of POCUS-competent staff are available to provide real-time teaching and feedback during internal medicine rotations.

Monthly QSoNiC Rounds: Interdisciplinary rounds held with Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, and Anesthesia, focusing on key POCUS cases from the prior month.
Teaching at Core AHD: Monthly Core Internal Medicine Academic Half Days (AHD) feature small-group sessions. Learners have the opportunity to act as near-peer instructors by leading or co-facilitating these sessions.
