Tissue harmonic Imaging (THI) improves overall image quality by filtering out certain frequencies, reducing noise and artifacts. It’s often turned on by default.
THI ON: Produces cleaner, sharper images. THI OFF: Can help visualize artifacts more clearly. It is useful for things like detecting B-lines in lung ultrasound.
Dynamic Range: This controls how many shades of gray are displayed on the screen. Lowering the dynamic range can make it easier to focus on specific structures such as veins during central line placement.
